Located right in the hearth of the Guanacaste province, the Corobici is a wide and fast-flowing class I and II river with moderate waves. This experience is great for all ages, safe enough for children and gentle enough for the elderly to enjoy, just as for nature lovers and bird watchers who will enjoy the lush vegetation of the tropical dry forest. You we’ll have the chance to observe lots of animals: howler and white faced monkeys; coatis, iguanas and otters; you may also sight some of the 300 species of birds that inhabit the nearby Palo Verde National Park: wood stork, king fishers, roseate spoonbill, boat-billed heron, bare-throated tiger heron, white ibis and many, many more, all can be spotted in the threes along the riverbanks of the Corobici and Tenorio river. The Corobicí River flows into Tempisque River. You will immerge yourself into a special ecosystem 'The Tropical Dry Forest, with gigantic kapoks and fig trees, many species of animal such as Monkeys, Birds, Iguanas, Crocodiles along the river shore and on the tree tops, incredible relaxing tranquility plus a little bit of adventure when you pass some very save Class 1 or 2 rapids, a great way to enjoy your vacation days in the Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica. The Corobici River Tour is a perfect nature viewing trip. The start is a gentle rafting (class 1 & 2 waters) down the scenic Corobici River for 2 hours. Some tours even visit Los Pumas Rescue Center which is a center for wildlife in Costa Rica. Its main tenants are many of the different species of cats that inhabit Costa Rica but there are also many species of birds and monkeys.

Our journey begins in the gardens of the Corobici River, where our headquarters are located, and the trip last for about 2 hours on the river and includes: paddles, lifejackets, safety kayak if only one raft traveling, bottled water during the tour. Our experienced guides will better let you enjoy of this awesome adventure, pointing for you the tropical flora along the river that will be the perfect background for this unforgettable and unique tour. You will also have the possibility to do some paddle, or if you prefer so, let the guide take you down the river while you relax and enjoy of the emerald forest and exotic fauna.

This area is known for high end and exclusive villas.  The nearby Reserva - Playa Conchal, being Costa Rica's one of the first and largest and most well known all inclusive resorts (Westin).  With a wide arrange of sit down restaurants, Trent Jones 18 hole golf course all on site makes this a one stop vacation destination popular for families traveling with children.  Due to Playa Conchal being a beach with a calm sea swimming here is ideal for all swimmers experienced or not.

Playa Flamingo's Beach Resort is the only beach front hotel in Flamingo. The Resort offers dining, but one within walking distance can reach other great Flamingo restaurants such as top rated, CocoLoco right on the beach, Maries, Angelinas, Camparino, Mariner Inn, and sandwich shop are all located in and around the central commercial area called "La Plaza". Within 5 min drive you have typical food places like Pleamar and Estero Azul on the beach across the Bay with Shogun (Asian), Surfbox, Vaca Loca, and El Nico's following thereafter in that order which are all great choices.

The Flamingo Beach Resort soon called Margaritaville (opening up end of 2018) has its own casino, and entertainment open to the public and most restaurants and bars have live bands (the Nightclub type of nightlife hot spot remains Tamarindo 20 min away). No matter what you feel like though Flamingo has something that fits every preference.   From Activities by sea and land to leisure and adventure this area offers it all.
