New Flamingo Marina Expansion Project
This area has one of the most famous white sand beaches, good infrastructure, a major international airport, clinics, and good schools, lots of entertainment and hotels close by. The marina is finally adding back to Flamingo what Flamingo for a very long time has been known for. Luxury Homes, White-sand beaches and World class fishing marina!
The Flamingo Marina has for over 30 years been the only natural safe haven on the Pacific ocean between Acapulco Mexico and Panama City, Panama. After the closure in 2004 and the financial crash of 2008 the Marina has not officially been re-opened until very soon. This has been a very greatly anticipated development project and finally is well underway. The new marina behind the flamingo estuary and beach at the foothills of North Flamingo in the North Pacific Region of Costa Rica called Guanacaste.
The new Marina is projected to provide over 200 boat slips, a hotel with 130+ rooms, a convention center holding up to 800 people, and an area for shopping and restaurants.
“Terrazas” a new event center holding 800 people opened up this April across the Marina with already showing huge success. And just 3 min north you find the newly opened famous Jimmy Buffet Margarithaville on the beach which opened up Janauary of this year as well as a set of new restaurants and bars which opened up one by one in recent weeks in Surfside 5 min south.
“The area sees changes taking place every week now!!! “
Once construction on the marina advances, local real estate market experts note that property values in the area are expected to skyrocket, especially as a shortage of available inventory already exists. If you are interested in securing your retirement property or dream home the time is now, at least within this area of Costa Rica.
Other marinas that have recently undergone expansion or development include the Marina Pez Vela in Quepos, the Golfito yacht marina, the new marina in Peninsula Papagayo, and one other famous Marina in Playa Herradura.
Despite Costa Rica’s classification as an emerging market, Costa Rica performs like any other developed nation with respect to its luxury travel and residential amenities and entertainment features such as marinas that it established and offers to it’s visitors, residents, and nationals.
These developments coupled with a growing economy and stable regulatory framework, no residency restrictions, minimal property taxes makes for attractive returns and growth. Costa Rica enjoys ideal property rights for foreigners who are treated fairly and protected in the same manner as locals are and this makes for a successful investment recipe’.
Moreover, all documentation related to a property and boat ownership is recorded in the national registry and made available for anyone to view online.
The reasons are clear why North Americans have been flocking to this magical area of Costa Rica to be property and/or boat owners, the trend seems to intensify more and more as the US economy recovery continues.
