WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE DIFFERENT

This is one of Central America's most thoughtfully executed coastal communities, occupying 865 acres along Playa Hermosa on Costa Rica's Central Pacific coast. The Pacific Ocean and a 150-acre interconnected freshwater lake system exist within a fifteen-minute walk of each other. THE LAND AND ECOLOGY

The property was carefully reforested over the past decade and reconnected into the surrounding biological corridors. It functions today as a contiguous habitat zone for white-tailed deer, coatis, sloths, howler monkeys, and hundreds of bird species that migrate along the Pacific coast. The adjacent beaches host one of Costa Rica's most active sea turtle nesting sites each season. The freshwater lake system is navigable — residents genuinely travel between neighborhoods by paddleboard or kayak during the rainy season. Walking trails, cycling paths, and equestrian routes total more than thirty miles, meandering through primary forest, around the lake perimeter, and out to a beachfront promenade that few North American coastal communities can match.

THIRTEEN NEIGHBORHOODS, ONE COMMUNITY

The master plan is deliberately fragmented into thirteen distinct neighborhoods rather than a single megadevelopment. This prevents monotony and allows each neighborhood to maintain its own character: some neighborhoods emphasize beachfront living; others cluster around the lake's edge; still others retreat into the forested interior where privacy and seclusion are paramount. Density is intentionally low. A buyer in one neighborhood may never encounter the daily rhythms of another — a design choice that preserves the feeling of owning private land rather than a lot in a dense residential project.

Currently, several neighborhoods are sold out. Others are actively delivering inventory in 2025 and 2026. A third group is scheduled to launch over the coming years. The community is gated and professionally managed. A single homeowners' association maintains roads, common areas, the lake system, and security. Yet Jacó — Costa Rica's largest beach town, with full shopping, dining, and medical services — is ten minutes away by car. Flamingo Entertainment & Food

Playa Flamingo's Beach Resort is the only beach front hotel in Flamingo. The Resort offers dining, but one within walking distance can reach other great Flamingo restaurants such as top rated, CocoLoco right on the beach, Maries, Angelinas, Camparino, Mariner Inn, and sandwich shop are all located in and around the central commercial area called "La Plaza". Within 5 min drive you have typical food places like Pleamar and Estero Azul on the beach across the Bay with Shogun (Asian), Surfbox, Vaca Loca, and El Nico's following thereafter in that order which are all great choices.

The Flamingo Beach Resort soon called Margaritaville (opening up end of 2018) has its own casino, and entertainment open to the public and most restaurants and bars have live bands (the Nightclub type of nightlife hot spot remains Tamarindo 20 min away). No matter what you feel like though Flamingo has something that fits every preference.   From Activities by sea and land to leisure and adventure this area offers it all.
