Brasilito is a small coastal village that maintains a local flair. The Real Estate Developments surrounding it have surprisingly not influenced the local traditional life style. Fishermen catch fresh fish everyday that is prepared in the local bistros. For those of you seeking more U.S. style meals, Happy Snapper Bar and Restaurant provides a taste of American style ambiance in the midst of this traditional village.
The Brasilito Beach runs in a S-shape along the Pacific with Flamingo directly to the north. In addition to stretches of black sand, one usually (depending on swells) enjoys a much calmer ocean for pleasant swimming. Directly to the South is Playa Conchal with its all inclusive high end resort "Reserva Conchal". From all stretches of Brasilito Beach, beautiful sunsets are to be enjoyed with breathtaking views of the Catalina Islands. In the center part of the beach is the village; delicious and affordable restaurants and cafes are nestled only a few feet away from the beach. Playa Brasilito, while not necessarily cheap, is much more budget-friendly than the more developed tourist places like Flamingo, Conchal, and Tamarindo. In terms of entertainment there are a few little bars and occasional events in the town center or at the Happy Snapper. Brasilito is a good place to sample the flavors of local life.
